School management software for Kenya.
Kenyan schools are in the middle of a change: the Competency Based Curriculum is replacing 8-4-4, so one school may be reporting on both at once, learner by learner. Add three terms a year, fees that parents pay in instalments by M-Pesa, and a head teacher who needs the arrears list before the term opens, and the exercise book stops working. Synthixx Campus holds the learners, the fees and the assessments in one record, and the M-Pesa transaction code goes against the child it was paid for.
School management software in Kenya, in short
Synthixx Campus is school management software for schools in Kenya. It keeps fees, attendance with same-morning parent alerts, results, timetable, staff and payroll, and parent portals in one account, with every branch in it. It is priced per school from $49 a month, not per student, and a paid plan starts with a three-day free trial.
What a school in Kenya gets out of it
Two curricula in one school
Subjects and grading are the school's own, so learners on the Competency Based Curriculum and those still on 8-4-4 can be reported on side by side without a second system.
M-Pesa payments, recorded against the right learner
A parent pays by M-Pesa and the office enters the amount and the transaction code against one learner. The fee shows as paid, a receipt prints, and the code is kept on the record.
Terms, with the arrears list ready on opening day
Fees are set per class and recorded per term, so the head sees who owes what before the term begins rather than three weeks into it.
A school year with a January start, in three terms
Schools in Kenya work to a January start, in three terms. Synthixx Campus lets each school set the month its year begins, what it calls a year group, and the currency its families pay in, so the academic-year label, ID-card expiry and promotions follow the school’s own calendar instead of a default borrowed from somewhere else.
Two currencies, kept apart
The plan is billed in US dollars. Your families pay you in Kenyan Shilling (KES), which is set once in Settings: every fee, receipt, payroll line and report then shows KES rather than a symbol borrowed from somewhere else. The two never touch — we do not convert, we do not collect your fees, and what you charge a parent is between you and them.
Everything in one account
Fees
Fee heads per class and per campus, discounts written down as discounts, payments recorded by method and reference, printed receipts, and an arrears list that matches the ledger.
Attendance
Marked in class or scanned at the gate, with the parent told within seconds — absent, on leave or arrived.
Exams and results
Marks per subject, grades, position and a printed result card, published to families the moment they are ready.
Timetable and homework
Periods per class and per teacher, with clashes caught when the timetable is written. Homework and submissions sit beside it.
Staff, HR and payroll
Staff records, attendance, leave, salaries and payslips, instead of a separate spreadsheet nobody else can open.
Records and certificates
Documents in a private vault, and leaving, character and bonafide certificates with a serial number and a QR code anyone can verify.
Four portals
Admin, teacher, parent and student each see their own view, so the office stops being the only way to find anything out.

- 3Set the fee for each classPer class and per campus, including discounts and siblings.
- 4Hand out the codesParents and students get their own codes and sign in on their phones.
- 5Start with one thingMost schools begin with fees, add attendance the following week, and bring exams in before the term ends.
Why a school here can trust it with its records
Your school's data is walled off in the database
Separation is enforced by database rules, not by a filter in the code that somebody can forget. One school cannot read another's students, fees or marks.
Backed up every night, thirty days kept
A full copy of your school is taken each night and the last thirty are retained, so a bad afternoon is recoverable, not final.
A recycle bin, because people delete the wrong row
Deleted records go to a bin instead of disappearing, and can be restored.
Your data leaves whenever you want it
Students, fees and payments export to CSV from inside the app. There is no hostage-taking and no fee for getting your own records out.
Encrypted on the way, and on the way back
Every connection is HTTPS, enforced, and the pages refuse to be framed by another site.
We never take a cut of your fees
Parents pay the school the way they already do and the office records it. The money goes into the school's own account, not ours.
Priced per school, in rupees — never per student
Enrolling more children does not raise your bill in the middle of a session.
Certificates anyone can verify
Each certificate carries a serial number and a QR code that resolves to a page saying whether it is genuine or cancelled.
You can look before you decide
A live demo opens with a school already full of data, with no account and no card, and a paid plan starts with a free trial.
The facts behind these points — where the data is kept, how schools are separated and what is backed up — are written out on the security page, and who is behind the product is on the about page.
Where in Kenya we hear from
Schools in Kenya use Synthixx Campus from Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and Thika — and from anywhere else with an internet connection, because there is nothing to install. It runs in a browser on the office computer and on the phone a parent already owns.
Questions from schools in Kenya
Does it work with the curricula used in Kenya?
Yes. Subjects, marks and grades are yours to define, so a school following the Competency Based Curriculum, the 8-4-4 system being phased out, and British programmes records what its programme needs and whatever it tests in between. Result cards print on your own letterhead, and a school with more than one programme keeps them in one account.
Can we run more than one branch in Kenya?
Yes. Branches are campuses under one school, each with its own classes, students, staff and fee amounts. Staff can be limited to the campus they work at, and the owner reads one branch or all of them.
How do parents pay the school?
However they already do — M-Pesa, bank transfer and cash, with the transaction code recorded against the learner. Synthixx Campus is not a payment gateway and takes no cut of your fees: the office records what arrived against the right child, and a receipt is produced then. The money goes into the school's own account.
What does it cost, and how do we pay?
It is priced per school in US dollars, never per student, starting from $49 a month on the Starter plan, so enrolling more children does not raise the bill in the middle of a year. There is a free plan, and every paid plan starts with a three-day trial and no card. You pay from your own Rizon account to ours — Rizon works in 122 countries — and the plan is switched on once we have confirmed the payment, usually within twelve hours.
How long does it take to set up?
An afternoon for most schools. Classes and students import from a spreadsheet, fees are set per class, and the login codes for parents and students are generated for you. The guide shows every screen with real screenshots.
Can we see it before deciding?
Yes, without signing up for anything. The live demo opens a school that already has students, fees, attendance and results in it, and it deletes itself after two hours.
